How to: Enable or disable true quotation marks in a PowerPoint slide.
Solution:
Select or clear the 'Replace Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes' check box in the 'Edit' option group.
1) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...' . (The 'Options' dialog box appears.)
2) Click the 'Edit' tab.
3) Do one of the following in the 'Edit' group:
a) To enable Smart Quotes, select the 'Replace Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes' check box.
b) To disable Smart Quotes, clear (uncheck) the 'Replace Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes' box.
4) Click 'OK'.
NOTE: The Smart Quotes feature automatically replaces straight quotation marks with true quotation marks.
